Dental Care

There is no other way to put it: kibble is terrible for your pet’s teeth. Both dry and canned pet food consists mostly of grains and other non-meat filler products which contain a lot of refined carbohydrates. These carbs cause plaque and tartar build-up, bad breath, and tooth decay. When switching to a raw diet, you will notice an improvement in dental hygiene and fresher breath. Prey Model Raw (meat/bone/organ ingredients) food has none of the carbs found in kibble. Dogs and cats have naturally sharp teeth that are made to tear and rip through meat; kibble will dull them and create a buildup of plaque. Plaque can cause a lot of issues with your pet’s overall health, so it’s important to keep it to a minimum. Feeding raw will ensure this buildup is minimal and help the overall health of your pet.  It can be beneficial to dogs and cats that are fed ground raw meat to offer one of our great dehydrated chew or crunchy treats for continuous cleaning of teeth and improved dental health.
