Adored Beast Apothecary Healthy Gut: Digestive Enzymes, Prebiotics & Probiotics

Healthy Gut by Adored Beast Apothecary is a comprehensive digestive health supplement formulated for dogs and cats. Built upon the signature 14-strain probiotic base, Healthy Gut includes added broad-spectrum digestive enzymes to assist the natural breakdown and absorption of nutrients from daily meals.

Processed, cooked, and dry pet foods lose natural enzymes during manufacturing, placing extra workload on your pet’s digestive tract. Even pets on whole or raw diets can benefit from targeted enzyme and probiotic support during diet transitions, periods of digestive upset, or senior life stages. Healthy Gut works to maintain gut flora balance and improve everyday digestive efficiency.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q1: Can I use Adored Beast Healthy Gut if my pet eats dry kibble? A: Yes. Commercial processing and extrusion strip away naturally occurring enzymes from dry kibble. Adding Healthy Gut introduces active digestive enzymes that help break down dry food, supporting nutrient absorption and proper digestion.

Q2: What is the difference between Healthy Gut and Adored Beast Love Bugs? A: Love Bugs provides a dedicated 14-strain pre- and probiotic blend for microbiome maintenance. Healthy Gut takes that same 14-strain probiotic and prebiotic foundation and adds active digestive enzymes (pancreatin, papain, bromelain, and betaine HCl) to directly assist with food breakdown.

Q3: Does Healthy Gut need to be refrigerated? A: Yes, Adored Beast recommends refrigerating the container after opening. Because the formula contains live probiotic cultures and natural enzymes without chemical preservatives, cold storage helps maintain optimal potency.

Q4: Why does the powder sometimes look clumpy? A: Adored Beast formulas do not use synthetic flow agents or anti-caking chemicals (such as silicon dioxide). Active enzymes naturally draw in ambient humidity, which can cause harmless, soft clumps. Simply break them apart with a dry fork or spoon; it does not impact product quality.

Q5: Do I have to feed Healthy Gut for the rest of my pet’s life? A: No, it is not required indefinitely for every animal. Many pet parents use Healthy Gut periodically, such as during diet transitions, seasonal changes, or short-term digestive challenges. However, pets on dry kibble or senior pets requiring ongoing digestive support can safely take it long term.
